Meet the Principal- Calie VanDermark
Calie VanDermark
It’s a great day to be an Eagle! This is my twelfth year with Noblesville Schools and my seventh year serving as the proud principal of White River Elementary. At White River, we believe in the power of connection, collaboration, and high expectations. Our 2024–2025 theme, The Year of the GOAT – Greatest of All Time, celebrates the unique impact each of us can have on our students, colleagues, and school community. Greatness, after all, is not about perfection—it’s about purpose, persistence, and people.
Personally, I’m a proud mom of two college students. My daughter is a senior at Purdue University, and my son is a junior at Indiana State University—go Sycamores! As a family, we love new adventures, staying active, and spending time outdoors.
Professionally, my journey began with service in the United States Marine Corps—an experience that deeply shaped my commitment to leadership and community. Having lived in many parts of the country, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the diverse values and traditions that make each community special. After relocating from New Orleans to the Indianapolis area, I served as a first and second grade teacher, a Title I reading teacher, and an assistant principal. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Graceland University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana University.
I’m excited to partner with you this year. Building strong relationships and clear, open communication is at the heart of what we do. I look forward to learning more about your family as we work together to support your child’s success.
Soaring with you,
Calie VanDermark
